ABOUT US
Together we'll develop an individualized plan to meet your goals!
We look forward to working with you.
Fit to Function was started by an SLP/Brain Injury specialist in 2019 intent on helping individuals recover beyond what traditional rehab could provide, the feeling that most are cut off at “good enough.” Better Than Good Enough® was born of the idea that everyone deserves the opportunity to recover beyond that. The early focus was stroke & brain injury survivors, though we quickly grew to include individuals with a range of neurological conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Friedreich’s Ataxia, Functional Neurological Disorder, Spinal Cord Injury, ALS, SCI, etc.
Many inquiries begin with: “I’m not sure if this is for me, but….” As Adaptive & Inclusive trainers, we are poised to adapt and modify for all needs. We believe that should you even wonder “is this for me,” then it is: you name it, we train it. We operate on a firm resolution to provide fitness for everybody & every BODY - so much so that we painted it on the wall when we opened our own facility in 2024.
In addition to adaptive training, we have multiple programs to further our goal of providing fitness for every BODY. This includes anyone who does not otherwise have a fitness space to call home. Our Legends Program gives neighborhood Seniors access to fitness to enhance independence. The Inclusive Kids Class provides all kids a place to learn more about their bodies, get strong, gain confidence and create healthy habits for life. We also have a program for new Moms (prenatal-postpartum), soon to expand our women’s specific offerings for those who may not feel comfortable or understood in fitness spaces.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again and again: fitness is for everybody and every BODY and we’re committed to being the place that provides it.

Our Approach
Fit to Function blends functional fitness with cognitive rehabilitation in an adaptive, 1:1 and community-focused environment that benefits survivors of brain injury and stroke. Through this unique approach, delivered through a multi-disciplinary coaching team that goes beyond routine rehabilitation therapies, Fit to Function supports patients recovering from neurologic injuries in achieving functional movement and global fitness with generalization into real world activities while addressing their cognitive-communicative needs.
We use recovery foundations of neuroplasticity, create individually tailored speech/language/cognitive rehabilitative protocols and blend them with targeted and global functional fitness focused on movement generalization to promote carryover into everyday functional routines. Our goal is to get you moving better, talking and thinking better, while improving general fitness, endurance, confidence, and independence. Our approach is 1:1 treatment, targeting your language and cognition while you move. Following an initial on boarding process, our aim is to integrate clients into small group and community style CrossFit classes.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to get you moving better, communicating and thinking better, while improving general fitness, endurance, confidence, and overall independence. When traditional rehabilitation efforts yield a "good enough" result, we go above and beyond, pushing you closer to 100% of the new you. We believe that recovery knows no limits.
OUR CLIENTS
We treat clients recovering from a range of neurological injury, with a primary focus on survivors of stroke and traumatic brain injury. We set no limits on those we can help, and will work with you on your first visit to establish a plan that supports your needs. Our belief is that everyone can benefit from a functional fitness routine with an emphasis on functional independence.
